After two matches against two champions from Zanzibar and Iraq, FC Fassell will on Saturday takes on a local Egyptian club in Cairo.
The ’Soccer Missionaries’ were held to a 1-1 draw in their first friendly by Jeshi la Kujenga Uchumi Sports Club, commonly known as JKU on 22 August 2024.
Five days later, coach Ivan Minnaert’s side came from behind twice to pull a 2-2 draw with the Iraqi champions, Al Sorta.
FC Fassell’s third preseason friendly comes up tomorrow against Egyptian club side El Raja at the Jewel Sports Park in Cairo.
El Raja Sporting Club is based in Mersa Martha, 240km West of Alexandria and plays in the third tier of Egyptian football.
Meanwhile, FC Fassell have received a major boost ahead of Saturday’s club friendly with the arrival of Tonia Tisdell in Cairo.
The Liberia international joined FC Fassell training camp in Egypt on Thursday, and he’s expected to team-up with Mark Yallah in coach Minaret’s attack tomorrow against Raja Club.
Yallah has scored two goals in FC Fassell two games. One from the spot against JKU, and the vital equalizer against the Iraqi champions.
The ’Soccer Missionaries’ also have another friendly lineup for Sunday against Sun Club.
