27-year old Dauda Bartu, Medic Daniel Dee Wright, Kit-manager Sammuadral Jack Rambo and eight young players, landed safely on Friday morning at the Cairo International Airport.
They will be joined on Saturday by Coach Ivan Minnaert, and 19 others members of FC Fassell’s delegation that departed Liberia on Thursday.
Upon arrival in Cairo, the team was received by representatives from Jewel Sports City and Aqua Resort.
The players and two members of the technical staff had their first lunch at the state-of-the-art sports facility a few minutes ago.
The ‘Soccer Missionaries’ are expected to hold a three-month training camp at Jewel to prepare for new LFA league season, which kicks off in October.
FC Fassell is returning to the league after several years absence, having purchased FC Kallon-Liberia, formerly Muscat FC.
The Club has an European coach, Belgian Ivan Minnaert, and three foreign players in its ranks.
The Ambitious team also hired the services of three former Liberia internationals, experienced Zah Krangar, Solomon Grimes and Tonia Tisdell.
Zah and Grimes are expected to join the skeleton team in Cairo tomorrow from Casablanca, Morocco.
Tisdell and Lone Star forward Terry Sackor will be joining the squad in Egypt on Sunday.
The two players are part of FC Fassell second delegation expected to leave Liberia on early Saturday.
