Mighty Barrolle are in pole position to defend the Liberia Basketball Association (LBA) First League title ,as they continue their flying start to the season.
The Rollers made it two wins out of two matches on Sunday in the Second Phase of LBA league , defeating last season finalists, LTC Bushrod Bulls for the third time this season.
Barrolle defeated Bushrod Bulls 73- 48 points, in a match many thought would have been a tough battle at the SKD Gymnasium in Paynesville on Sunday.
A 25 point margin win over one of the top teams now put the Rollers in a comfortable position for another best of five series final.
NPA Pythons secured their first win in Phase-2 of the league courtesy of a 78-74 points victory over Cestos Mongars also on Sunday.
On Saturday, Spartacus defeated Visions shooter by 75-70 points to mark second straight win in Phase-2 of the 2024 Second Division Championship.
Spartacus came into this match with 58-53 points win over Royal Legends in their first match of phase two category.
More matches will be played this Wednesday 17 July and Friday, 19 July 2024 at the SKD Gymnasium.
In the male second division, T. S Warriors will take on Vision Shooters at 3pm, while King George Knights welcomes Bushord Ballers at 5PM in game two.
The final match will witness Commissioners and Destiny Queens in the women’s division at 7pm.
Friday’s matches will witness Spartacus and G. Highlanders at 3pm in game one in a lone male 2nd division encounter.
Desert Ladies and Hoops Angels will come face to face in the women’s division at 5pm.
The match of the day will witness LPRC Oilers and NPA Pythons at 7pm in the male first division.
